Playfight _ a primal experience

Playfight is a form of peaceful grappling, related to Contact Improvisation but extended by the aggressive / discomfortable / challenging sides of interaction. Here we practice direct and authentic physical contact without words and without judgment.

A lot of people remember playfights with friends or parents from their childhood and this primal activity can easily be understood as the original form of any movement practice or sports. It combines the quality of play and fight in a way in which we can safely test our limits and explore our physical skills in a friendly social surrounding.

Playfight Experience Workshops

 

 

In the first two Workshops of the Year we will focus on the

Meaning of the WE,

 

Sharing

Movement, Passion, Fight.

 

Playfight rituals are always a collective experience.

So this time we look a little closer at the possibilities of

Being in contact / in confrontation

with more than one Person.

 

We will move as a swarm

Figure out how we establish trust in a group

Play with being overpowered by two or more others

 

In the second part of the evening we come together in the traditional format to watch two playfighters doing their thing in the middle of our circle.
